nosebags for dogs (& cats come to that!)

they cannot resist the lure of a doggy bag.

the dog is getting rather long in the tooth these days and is really, really picky over his food. he either turns his nose up at whatever it is or picks out a piece from the bowl disdainfully and drops it with disgust onto the floor.

recipes kindly sent to me for such goodies as pasta in pesta, beef strog. and hotdogs in rice have all failed miserably.

however, I have just discovered that if I throw the food away into a bag and leave nonchalantly around for a while, say casually hooked over the kitchen doorknob or on the backdoor porch - bingo! he cannot resist the lure of leftovers and will growl at the cats.

whatever the appeal of the doggy bag is, it just might be the answer to a dog-owners prayers.

I assumed this was a canine-specific vehicle safety device.

To be honest, images of a dog with a bag over it's head instantly rose to mind... how cruel =\

Is ms po suggesting feed bags like horses have, sewn with wild oats?

I assumed this was a nose-covering, sort of like a fitted surgical mask that only covers the dog's nose, to protect humans from being slimed by dog mucus.

When I was a kid, my cat was convinced that anything people ate was vastly preferable to regular cat food (actually, my current cat believes this too: maybe they're right), and he was always trying to sneak people food. One time, we found him lapping at a jar of wallpaper paste, do doubt convinced it was some new kind of shake.

(My car is now seeing a psychotherapist, and I am buying a new keyboard.)

Perhaps its the bag that adds an attractive flavor to the food or contains some essential substances. Did you ever try to feed the dog just bags?

[DrCurry] My cat licks clear packing tape. I don't think cats eat stuff because they think we are eating better, I think they are just weird.
