mobiles already have voice recognition and so this adapted software would recognise numerals in a previously chosen language; either a number that is spoken over the phone itself by way of a call and which allows you to add a new contact plus the correct number.
or, a number that is spoken aloud
by someone in the room, over the internet or via television or radio. how many times have you just wished you were prepared with pencil / paper and ready to take down that vital number. with your phone switched on, you would have a certain amount of time to *catch* that number and make that important call.
or, at the end of a pleasant evening with that nice new acquaintance, he/she just speaks his number into your phone and you press *save*
