Won't spend a lot of time YMCAifying a typical bill but it might be something like this:
House Bill 7334 as written:
"Establishes a 10-year statute of limitations for criminal charges and civil enforcement against a borrower who engages in fraud with respect to certain COVID-19 economic injury
disaster loan programs." (So basically a bill to help the rich who used COVID to scam hundreds of millions from American tax payers,)
Written to the theme of YMCA:
You scam.
Now you're scared you'll be caught because of
Your scam
With politicians you bought and now
That scam
Has you thinking you ought to get
an-
out-
of-
ja-il
free-card
BUM BUM BUM BUM BUM
You'll get away with it with
Seven... three three four,
You'll be home free with our
Seven... three three four-or,
Keep your head down low
In ten years you'll know
That the feds won't - bust - down your door-oo-oor
And please don't ask if they need to dress like the Village People, that goes without saying.

Too much rant, too little idea. Not that I disagree with the rant. |
Hey doc, I know you think I automatically bone your ideas, but that first [-] isn't mine. I'll prove it by applying a second one. |
The idea is funny enough and would play well on Facebook or many other sites. But "there should be a law" isn't really an idea for an invention. And HB7334 isn't meant to help scammers get away with anything. The usual statute of limitation on fraud crimes is 5 years . So extending it to 10 here strengthens rather than weakens the government's ability to prosecute scammers. |
Just so you know it wasn't an "automatic" bone but a carefully considered one. |
God, you again? What is your obsession with me? |
This is getting perilously close to stalking. |
Tell you what, you stop erasing my annotations, (even the ones that are nice) and I won't erase yours, we'll just be polite to each other. I know I've suggested that before but hope springs eternal. |
I will never delete an annotation that's relevant to a posted idea. Ones that have nothing to do with the idea are fair game though. And I'm always as polite as a person or situation merits. |
Admittedly THIS anno itself is not strictly relevant your YMCA idea, but it is in response to a direct comment from you. Do with it as you wish. |

But why would you continue communicating with somebody who just clearly doesn't want to have anything to do with you? I don't understand the motivation. When somebody doesn't like me, I just leave them alone, I don't keep trying to establish contact. I seem to be a big part of your life. Can I not be? I mean seriously, your profile now, front and center features ME in your //ANNOTATIONS PROTECTD (sic) FROM DELETION// Somebody who goes to see what you're about will see "I obsess about doctorremulac3." That's just creepy. |
So how about you do your thing, I do mine, I leave you alone, you leave me alone? What's the problem with that? |
As far as the statute of limitations, it's already ten years, this makes it clear prosecutions will be limited to the current statute of limitations, probably because people are so outraged the average citizen is very hungry for justice for these crimes. From 2018: |
"Bank-related crimes Bank bribery, embezzlement from a bank, bank fraud, FDIC fraud, loan and credit fraud, falsifying bank records, forging bank documents, RICO violations, and insurance fraud all have a 10-year statute of limitations." |
But I propose we live and let live. Let's not post on each other's ideas, good? Good. |
(sigh) Within this forum I usually avoid discussing personalities or things not directly related to halfbaked ideas. But as it's *your* posting and you *did* ask, I'll indulge you. |
I see HB as an open forum anyone can join, post, and respond to any users. I read and respond to lots of folks without regard for what I think of them personally or worrying what they think of me. From your comments I infer you see it more as a private club where you can limit who responds to your public posts. Perhaps you could ask [jutta] for a ruling, but until I hear otherwise I'll go my own way. |
You have my email and an open invitation to contact me off HB if you wish to discuss further. |
Oops, I missed your added paragraph about statute of limitations, good point. But HB7334 clarifies any ambiguity and makes sure that whatever category the offense would fall under is subject to the longer term. |
Which still does not address the issue Voice and I had about your post: |
// Too much rant, too little idea. // |
I have no idea who posted the third bone so I can't impute motives. |
I suggest a singular idea post in which all your interpersonal differences, hatreds, accusations and the accompanying prose and profanity be hung out for both of you (and us peons) to see and rate. |
ooh, can it have a mud slinging contest, an innovative insult rating system, popcorn, and chess boxing? |
That would require me having to interact with the guy. Thanks but no thanks. |
//Perhaps you could ask [jutta] for a ruling, but until I here otherwise I'll go my own way.// |
It's spelled "hear" genius. If you're gonna be a picky little smartass might wanna learn how to spell first. |
Your ass is showing, doctor. Let's not do this, please. I'm not picking sides but only one person here is trying to pick a fight. If you don't like his posts ignore them. And a1, why are you poking him? It's not helping anything. |
Hey, if I'm gonna get poked despite my repeatedly asking for civility that just results in more attacks, might as well go with it and have fun. |
But as always, standing offer to have civility rule. Works for me. |
[Voice], I responded to issues I saw in his original idea, just as you did. He often complains people bone anonymously so I 'let him know one of them was mine. I was willing to leave it at that until he asked me specific questions. I replied not in retaliation, just out of common politeness. |
OTOH no one has died or been threatened, yet. You could just carry on as before. What have you got to lose? |
