Anagram Scrabble

Bonus points for anagrams

When you play a word, you can also declare that that word is an anagram for another word (or words), and you get the points as you usually would, PLUS bonus points for the anagram(s). (face-points only, no bonus for underneath, as nothing's actually underneath in the anagram)

Ex: Playing "Spot", you could also get points (if declared) for "Tops", "Pots", & "Post". Also, if while playing this you also used the "o" in Spot to create "no", you could get an additional bonus for "on" (if declared).

We've done this in our family a few times over the years, so it's baked, but very very locally.

Clabbers, as described by Wikipedia (and [PollyNo9]) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clabbers
The name, too, is apparently an anagram. [jurist, Feb 02 2006]

Actually there is a Scrabble game variant that many people play called Clabbers. It's all about the anagrams, apparently.
