Start a hoax, make it believable, sell books, have people visit
talk shows, put up websites and New Year's day reveal it was
all a hoax.
Use the faked Moon landing or flat Earth gaffs as models, pick
something, make it plausible and go to town.
Here's the thing, it would get harder and harder
each year to
pull the wool over people's eyes with your annual farce, but
so might other BS stories.
