If their memory and the glimpse into the pain of their loss empowers just one visitor to this site to be B.A.D.D. and speak up to take those keys or call a cab....or remind their elf to not drive after a few cold ones.....

Thank you, jutta, for the category.

My sincerest hope is that this category gets no further entries..

B.A.D.D. gets my strong vote, though I didn't know your friends. Thanks

I'm angry that we even need this category.

I can't believe drunk driving still occurs. What does it take to get people to understand that they are a bad combo?
XSarenkaX, Mar 05 2003

[BC] is right. My dad was a rational, intelligent human being. But, when he started drinking there was no talking him out of driving. It still makes me cringe to hear the phrase "I can handle it".

For those of you who do still drink and drive, I can tell you that it's a lonely, scary and altogether miserable thing for a child to sit at home wondering if you'll make it back yet again.
