Being an American, I'm unaware of the intricacies of the game, but wouldn't the accelerations be like tipping the table so that all the balls roll into one pocket? |
I think that's the point. |
Oh. I thought this was intended semiseriously, as a way to increase the challenge of the game. |

You are crazy man. I like bus, I like snooker but where is bus snooker? Can I play? |
It would have interesting effects on boxing or karate as well. Imagine trying to time your punches to take advantage of extra momentum when the bus brakes... |
Ice sculpture with chainsaws? |
Monocycle basketball would be a bit more challenging as a bus sport and more could join in. |
Willie Mosconi (the greatest pool player ever) did a
publicity stunt for billiards by playing pool on the top of a
double decker bus while driving around Chicago (i think). |
In the US, snooker is sometimes known as "bumper pool," right? The table has a handful of knob things bolted in the center of the table. . . ? |
Nope. That would be 'Bar Billiards'. Snooker is the one with 15 reds, 6 assorted other colours, played on a table with long sides and small pockets. |
If it was your shot, wouldn't you be able to stand around and wait until a red went into the pocket of its own accord? Or would you have an incentive to pot a red quickly before a colour goes in? I can see tactical complexities. |
