Existing shelter from the rain for mobility scooter drivers comes in the form of a loose plastic rain cover, much like a shroud or umbrella. They look awful, fog up, can catch on external items and can be awkward to attach. How about a scooter that has a simple mechanical, convertible roof giving shelter from rain and wind on bad days and open air driving on the good days. Drive by wire technology gets rid of mechanical connections between the drive shaft and steering mechanism and instead uses electronic signals to communicate making steering much easierfor those with arthritis/rheumatism etc.
