Counterrotating Front and Back tires

A hidden mode in SUV's that will ruin the tires/transmission.

So, Osama Bin Laden (or another enemy) is now driving an SUV? Then simply flip a switch on the transfer case, and when he starts his Stupid Ugly Vehicle, the front tires will rotate backward, and the rear tires will rotate forward. The engine will race seconds after he turns the key and it will be stuck in the appropriate gear.

Do we force all manufacturers to build in a self destruct mode on the off chance that Osama Bin Laden (or another enemy) will drive it and then flip a switch on the transfer case and ruin it himself?

Your grey stuff seems to be stuck in the inappropriate gear - 35.

Aw, c'mon Amishman . . . this isn't any good. From you title, I was expecting so much more.
bristolz, Feb 22 2002

Most manufacturers have already built in many self destruct functions. IF we could get that close to the SUV in question, why bother with the transfer case????????

       Sell him a Ford.

Stupidity is bad. Please work harder at avoiding it.

This mode would be useful for digging holes...all of the dirt/mud/gravel would be thrown outward, and the SUV would dig a large hole.

...also, I dare argue that there can be more of those horrible SUV's found in the Western urban world, than anywhere else.

One common reference I have heard for SUV's is 'Chelsea Tractor'. Are there any others like this?
Ling, Oct 31 2005

With all of the might of the US military the SUV will not need to self destruct.

I also found Turramura Tanks - NSW, and Burnside bulldozers - SA.
