Check out the ESP Game. (It helps label internet images for people who are blind.

How about a dating service based on an analysis of the words people use to describe images. A working version of this would probably be a couple of years away.

There's some service that advertises on TV that already does some kind of detailed analysis on you to match you up. this is just a variation on that.

Blind people are only one of the beneficiary groups. According to the site, "Having proper labels associated to each image on the Internet would allow for very accurate image search, would improve the accessibility of the Web (by providing word descriptions of all images to visually impaired individuals), and would help users block inappropriate (e.g., pornographic) images from their computers."

Could computers be used for dating?

"Well, technically, yes, but the computer matches would be so perfect as to eliminate the thrill of romantic conquest."
