For years confetti makers have only had one revenue stream -
weddings. But there's any number of events which could
benefit from a sprinkling of the stuff. The most obvious
untapped market is funerals. Black and dark-purple confetti
would be the stylish way to show your respects as the funeral
cortege passed by. It would also be popular with goths at
parties.
*Not suitable for cremations, obviously

The Jewish custom is to put, rather than flowers, a rock on the grave site immediately after the burial, and every time you visit, so that the dead person is being postmortem "stoned to death" which relieves them from punishment in the afterworld. It also gives you somehow a "correct" feeling that this is not a live person who gets flowers that wilt, but is now one with the inanimate world for a long time. |
