Giant Football

Regular football, with a 6 foot long inflatable ball.

Exactly what the summary says. Inspired by a recent episode of Top Gear featuring car rugby. I thought "what if they had to do that without the cars?" Also, advertising space on the ball itself can be sold. It may be filled with helium to give it a long hangtime and make the game more interesting. Giant football would require much more attention to teamwork and tactics. Alternatively, it would end up with both teams in a fistfight while the ball lay next to them.

If it's 6 feet (or '6 foot', if you insist) long, won't it be rather hard to kick? I'd recommend making it six feet wide and six feet tall as well.

The ball would remain proportionally correct to a normal football with the length extended to 6 feet.

       Well, you say that now...

       You mean a Patriots/Ravens game?

I think they do this at "rock" concerts, but the participants were too drunk to remember.

Place "From Outer Space" with the ideas title and you might be onto something.
