Good Nutrition Advice Cards For Kids Instead Of Candy For Halloween

Something good for the little kiddies instead of sugar that's bad for them.

Include dietary advice like:

"Eating candy is bad for you. Why not try a nice hard boiled egg for a treat instead?

How to do: Place your eggs in a pot and cover with cold water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then cover, remove from the heat and set aside 8 to 10 minutes. Drain, cool in ice water and peel.

The yolk is a storehouse of vitamins and minerals. One egg yolk contains vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B6, Iron and vitamin B12."

The card would come taped to a raw egg that they can take home and cook according to the instructions. Get them on the road to good nutrition!

I suspect you'd be cleaning raw egg AND egg soaked cards from your windows the next day.

I'm with [bs] on this one. I also thought this was a [beany] idea until I scrolled down.

It makes more sense to hand out cigarettes and alcohol, thus promulgating the message "Do things that damage yourself ! Indulge yourself, work hard, pay lots of tax, then die young of preventable disease, before you can claim any retirement benefts !"

// I also thought this was a [beany] idea until I scrolled down. //

Are you sure? The title has every word capitalized, and doesn't contain a verb phrase that states what the invention does.

Never heard of a verb phrase.

So a verb phrase version would be "Nutrition Card Advises Kids..."?

       Learn something new every day.

That's pretty much what I meant.

       I think that's the joke.

       Bah, humbug. Getting in practice.
not_morrison_rm, Nov 09 2018

You're not supposed to give out humbugs - too sugary. Eggs, green vegetables, tofu, yoghurt ... got to be a huge hit with kids.

You just need to persuade them to Give Peas A Chance ...

I don't see what could possibly go wrong. For best results, also distribute discount (1-ply) toilet tissue rolls with a note about saving money for retirement.

Like a whole "Nutrition / Sound Investment Strategy / Body Cleanliness" kit? I like it!

// I was practically on a crisps and mars bar diet //

That explains a lot. Did you chew the heads off your lead soldiers, too ?
