Hazmat Mobile Meeting Booths

meet your friends in total safety during total lockdown
  [vote for,

During the time of total lock-down, no one is allowed to go out and meet their friends for purely social reasons. This is a big loss for most people, but it creates an opportunity for others to introduce a solution in the form of Hazmat Mobile Meeting Booths.

These take the form of a fleet of vehicles that feature a collection of individual glass panelled booths all contained within the same space. The booths themselves are placed on mechanical arms, meaning that any combination of 4 units can be clustered together, this being facililitated via a complex system of arms, and rotating disks.

Good quality microphones and speakers provide for totally natural conversation. Once inside you can enjoy drinking together, dancing, parading your latest clothes, running around in circles etc.

Summoning a meeting with friends is easily acheived via a booking system, with the vehicle picking up all those involved in sequence, then parking up until the meeting is over.

Once all have been returned home safely, the units are simply steamed out to ensure total sterility.

You two can book booths with blackened glass and switch off the microphones. That way you get to go out, but never meet anyone, especially each other.

Strange you of all people should come up with this, [xen], seeing as it's an idea for people who actually have friends (imaginary ones don't count).

Great, how quickly can the tea cup rides be decked out?

I like the idea of meeting in cars with windows cracked open an inch or so. Saw that idea posted in a local Facebook group today.
