This is an electromagnetic clipboard mounted face muscle activator. The device would shoot an electromagnetic pulse at the readers face sufficient to manipulate their face muscles into programmed patterns.

The purpose is to cause the clipboard readers face to exhibit one or several of 5 primary expressions. Joy, Shock, Fear, Startle and Blank

The patient experience is thus heightened.

       Having been a hospital patient frequently in my lifetime (and within the last five days), I'm not all that sure that I want the experience 'heightened' in any way. Perhaps if you were to elaborate upon your meaning?
