It seems to me given recent events in Afghanistan, that instead of using conventional armour plating, covering any vehicle with hundreds of copies of the Koran would virtually ensure its impunity from all sides involved in the conflict. ie Nato forces won't dare interfere with it for fear of repercussions,
and of course the Taliban will simply revere it.
