It would be really sweet to play video games on a large projection screen with surround sound. Maybe not movie-sized, but some 10'x12' screen. With surround sound.

Maybe some video game arcade could set this up.

Annotation:

More space per machine = less machines per arcade = less money per arcade = not a chance.

If this were an 8 player game that shared a single screen, it wouldn't even take up more space than 8 arcade games...

Warehouse space is fairly cheap if you are outside of town. Just find a cheap warehouse with parking, buy a bunch of big screens and audio equipment, and you're set.

You could have big screens with surround sound, but you have to pay extra to use them and have them hooked up to the game you are playing

Gamers stay up all night gaming. But most people do not want to see movies in the wee hours. Theaters could rent their facilities at night to gamers who could game up those big screens. One could have gamer groups play vs gamers on a screen down the hall if this were deemed fun. Maybe even sell some concessions from the robot concessionaires!

I caught the youth group leaders at our church playing first person shooter games on the projector usually used for lyrics to hymnals. The screen was Aprx. 10 ft across. Sure looked like fun but was rather inappropriate at a church!
