Leaf blowers, powered by gas or electricity could be arranged into a new form of musical instrument. Placing the Leaf Blowers (N instruments ) on a rotating platform would be an entirely new experience; the Hammond organ of the 21st century.

The Hammond Organ http://en.wikipedia.../wiki/Hammond_organ
A reassuringly mediocre musical instrument. [Aristotle, Apr 07 2010]

Could you help me with my concern that there would be too much gas engine noise? -
Mustardface, Apr 03 2010

[Mustardface]: Certainly. I'd suggest lorazepam, 0.5 mg per os, repeat x1, PRN.

This is like a good idea that you haven't bothered to finish.

As I understand it, each pipe would amplify the engine noise of one leaf blower at its length-determined resonant frequency. Correct?

Some form of flap or diversion would need to be mounted to switch each pipe on and off, unless this is intended as a drone instrument.

It appears to be an horrific and devilish instrument of torture. My goodness, you may have invented something more despicable than bagpipes. [+]

I would think one leaf blower would be enough, and it would be simple enough to direct the stream of air into a supersized panflute.

Does it still function as a leaf blower though?

It appears to be more like a Merry-Go-Round for motorheads. Can we ride on it?
xandram, Apr 07 2010

[BunsenHoneydew] Internal combustion engines have replaced steam engines in so very many applications. So, it's only fitting that the steam calliope should be replaced by these gasoline-powered bagpipes.

I don't know why but this seems like it would fit very well in a David Lynch movie.
