Match Tip Candle
Coat the tip of the candle in the same chemicals used on matches. | |
If the lights are out, you need to find both candles and matches to light the candles. But if the tips of your candles were coated like a matchstick, then you could light the candle itself.
After the first use, you can still use the candle as an ordinary candle. And if it doesn't light, you are
no worse off that you would be with ordinary candles.

Very similar patent, filed Oct 2004. Doesn't cite this idea.

strike it on your denims? |

Hey, how about wax matches? |
So this is a one-strike candle? |

A sane version of DF's idea |
Ahhh. Good idea, especially if it was inspired by my idea. |
Had the same idea myself when reading [DF]'s idea. Then I realised it's more practical to just attach a lighter to the bundle of candles with a rubber band. |

[silverstormer] - Is that the English torch (flashlight) or American torch (buring stick)? |
[FloridaManatee] - Party pooper. :p |
PS. Is there any celebration when someone gets their first multi-bun idea? |
yeah we all get a free beer! well done! I so remember mine. |
[GenYus] I meant English torch. Obviously... |
My inspired idea is miniature road flares. They could come in a pack like cigarettes. Each would burn about 1 minute. |
I wonder what the King's English is for a burning stick. |
