Sandwiched between two pieces of glass such that they grow in a space of an eighth of an inch or so, these plants would appear as two dimensional living art.
Pressing flowers and plants for books is a thing, but these would be alive so you could watch them grow.

From the plant's perspective, perhaps they'd feel imprisoned in the PanOpticon. Or maybe they'd feel happily ensconced in a friendly 'invisible' barrier that lets in sunshine and keeps out bad bugs and nibbling kitties. Tillandsias are perfect for the xeriscape nature of this application. |
