Search the HB and locate all the occurrences of "Schrodinger".

Replace them with the correct spelling, "Schrödinger", out of respect for the man if nothing else.

SysAdm access will be required.

That's it.

And maybe all instances of "Plato" with "Aristocles, son of Ariston"?
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

Add an "e" after each instance of "o".

However, what if someone at some point has really and truly meant "Schrodinger"? I did just then for example.

If people are going to go around writing what they actually mean, this place will be no fun.
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

Well i didn't really mean that, [MB] and in fact i don't even mean this.
nineteenthly, May 29 2011

Replace every instance of “idea” with “lemon”, and every instance of “person” with “penquin”, and similarly their respective plurals (is that the corect plural of plural?). See how long before anyone notices.
pocmloc, May 29 2011

That's a stupid lemon, [pocmloc], but just what we expect from a penguin like you.
8th of 7, May 29 2011

Replace every instance of "lemon" with "melon" and "melon" with "lemon" repeatedly.
nineteenthly, May 29 2011

There's also an Asian fruit called an omlen, if that helps.
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

//repeatedly// Repeatedly an even, or an odd number of times?
mouseposture, May 29 2011

       what [bigsleep] said.
FlyingToaster, May 29 2011

// There's also an Asian fruit called an omlen
Do you have a reference for that?
jutta, May 29 2011

       Define "reference".
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

The HB search engine says there are 17 ideas containing "Schrödinger" (not "Schrodinger"), 29 containing "Schrodinger" (not "Schrödinger), and just 3 containing both.

It would be useful, perchaps, if the search engine disregarded foreign ornaments, and equated "ö" with "o".

(Also, in the spirit of international equanimity, we should ignore the little hats that the French use to decorate their meagre language, and also that little tail that some other Europeans hang under their cs.)
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

       // useful, , if the search engine ... equated "ö" with "o" //

No, it would be useful if HBers would spell properly.

// that little tail that some other Europeans hang under their cs //

We've never heard it refeered to as a "cs" before. Is that what the french call their backsides, then ?

There are only 32 occurences to edit. Is it so much to ask ?
8th of 7, May 29 2011

Well, that's no bad thing. My last accidental invention had to be extinguished and then buried.
MaxwellBuchanan, May 29 2011

We disagree; for a while (admittedly measured in microseconds) the chihuahua was "warm", but quite soon became "toasty warm", then "toast", and subsequently "vapourised".

       Still, no harm done.

Perhaps this fix could be arranged such that it functions randomly. The reader would not know whether the fix had been applied until the page was opened?

@21Q - IF we're going to start applying MFD on the basis of personal preferences, perhaps we could add the names of individual halfbakers to that list. No.
Twizz, Jun 01 2011

Replace all occurences of "Replace" with "Don't replace".
hippo, Jun 01 2011

Then be careful to run it only once...
Ling, Jun 01 2011

// The reader would not know whether the fix had been applied until the page was opened? //

       Perfect.

It seems that [MaxwellBuchanan's] link to this supposed "omlen" fruit is a Schrödinger's link.
