Take a robot like the wall climbing robot and run a grid pattern over a steel flat roof and print a 3 dimensional electric solar panel on the roof. It would be easy to accomplish since solar panels don't require a wide variety of compounds.
Even if it was manufactured with less than ideal conditions and provided only a 60% efficiency compared to industrially manufactured panels it would produce more power because it could cover the entire roof at a far lower price.
The electric grid in America would not be the same again.
