Soup Sonar

Find that last tasty morsel
  [vote for,

There nothing more dissapointing trying to pin down that last tasty morsel as it appears and dissapears like some debated exobiological creature of the deep.

This hand held device which measures below and to the side using sonar displays its picture of what's below on a small screen.

"Waiter, there's a sub sandwich in my soup!"

Couldn't i just use a new piece of cutlery resembling a trawlers net. Or am I trying to avoid the 'dreaded vegetables' with this contraption.

A medical ultrasound would probably do the trick, although you might feel a little out of place sitting in the obstetrician’s waiting room with a bowl of soup.

Have a soup-bowl sized expeditionary fleet, “sailing the seven peas in search of lost scallions”.

Or, of course, you could always use a fork...

An idea of the highest quality.
Tell me though, could we use thermal imaging in order to avoid the roof-of-the-mouth scalding from notorious hotspots?

"Waiter! There's soup in my Sonar!"
