Battery powered spray bottle, with a button. Press the button, and at a random time between 0 and 10 seconds, Visine (or other eye moistener) sprays out.

Spray Visine Credit goes to [mingley] for the spray part of the idea, and to [bz] for the inspiration. [Worldgineer, Jun 14 2005]

I don't think that this would work because the eye would react and still blink when you see the liquid coming at you. I always dread going to the eye doctor because they do that air puff thing and you never know when they're going to do it.

(+) For truly annoying, make it 0 to 10,000 seconds.

[hobb] I don't think you would be able to see the spray before it comes.

surely if you wanted to resist your eye medication that badly you wouldn't buy one of these? Or at least close your eyes for ten seconds.

Well even if you couldn't see it coming, you'd still be blinking anyway since you would anticipate the spray.

But you wouldn't know when to blink. Even if you spend half the time with your eyes closed (doubtful, as blinks are fast), you'd only need two squirts on average for each eye.
