Seeing modern reality the way that it is, it's impossible for
someone to not bring up the possibility of space-colonialism.
People such as Elon musk desire to establish settlements on
other planets such as mars.
I believe that the first time a permanent human presence on
another planet that
doesn't end in failure will start a new era of
other world powers realizing that they indeed can expand
influence off of the rock that we have lived on for millennia.
Wealthy nations such as the United States or China would surely
be some of the first to this project, and maybe even the
European Union will unite to make their own joint colony on
another planet
One of the inspirations of this would inevitably be, if we don't
learn the harm of our ways, the exploitation of the natural
resources of these planets. Humanity will desire to leave the
planet that it has partially destroyed and will then
hypocritically do the same to others without thought.
If things go well, however, we will understand that we would be
essentially doing the same horrid things we have done in our
past, and maybe we would treat the moon like the treat
Antarctica. A space that is only allowed to be used for scientific
examination, with scattered human bases around the planet. An
even better option would be to heal our planet and make the
moon just as life-filled and green and blue as our planet is, and
eventually animals that we brought there will evolve due to
different gravity and such, which will create even more animals
to study and learn about. I find this idea beautiful to think
about

Without an atmosphere or water with which to transmit
necessary chemistry in and out of an organisim, creating life
capable of surviving on the moon sounds... difficult. |

Gonald, here's a little hack if you feel like chatting about
something. It's okay to advocate for stuff, just do it after
posting a plausible (or interesting) new idea to faciliate
whatever it is you're advocating for. |

This might be, I don't know, "Golf Ball Adjusted For Mars
Gravity And Atmosphere". Explain how this golf ball would
allow Mars colonists to play golf without the ball flying
1,000 yards requiring a 20 miles of hiking to play 9 holes,
then you're free to speak your mind about the benefits of
colonizing Mars as long as it centers around that Mars
gravity / atmosphere adjusted golf ball. |

Perhaps, but we expect you to follow the sites time
honoured tradition of at least dressing up any non idea
ideas
unconvincingly enough to be able to claim implausible
deniability about the lack of an actual idea whenever you
get the urge to post a non-idea idea, then boldly
deny any lack when called on the issue, it's lot more fun
that way, but, mostly what [doc] said, some (though not
all
of course) of the non-ideas here are actually very cleverly
disguised ideas, paraded as non-ideas for humorous effect,
&
to draw fire that can then be shot down. |

So, something almost entirely self contained is called for,
the
ultimate desert stone plant perhaps, with a little habitat
inside for the bugs that pollinate it, so bits of it like a fig as
well
then, a bit of
hybridisation may be called for, but bigger of course, so we
can be the
bugs. |
