Funky-shaped photons and razor-wire mittens
Hydrogen space-trains and traps that mince kittens
Ekranoplans, custard, and superspace strings
These are a few of our favorite things...

Ninja detectors and cetacean kettles
Gengineered cure-alls and miracle metals
Trebuchets, arc welders, big vortex rings
These are some more of our favorite things...

Bee-and-jam banjos, re-purposed cruise missiles
Bulletized asteroids, anything fissile
Flenting wax, tesseracts, Socratic kings
Are but a few of our favorite things!

Some are wonders
Others blunders
It's all the same, you see
If these are a few of your favorite things,
You belong at the Halfbakery!

       Bravo!

       Well done!
blissmiss, Mar 20 2012

Not a call-for-list, but I would love for others to add their own verses. I've barely scratched the surface.
Alterother, Mar 20 2012

       //I've barely scratched the surface.//

Yeah, but that can be enough to start an infection.

       "Fire-breathing dragons and cat-lifting rockets,
Exotic explosives and girl's clothes with pockets,
Deer that can seem to move like they have wings,
These are a few of Our favourite things ..."

       Braincrops ponderous and rapier wittens,
bright cooped-up kittles and worn worked-on writtens,
Zen-like offerings without yangs or yings.
These are a few of my favorite things.

Dream conjured notions which spring from ripe noodles,
discussed ideas with illustrative doodles,
wild flights of fancy with no price-tag strings.
These are a few of my favorite things.

Gracious wiped messes sans rude newbie slashes,
know-quakes that stay on my mind without bashes.
Erudite glinters that morph into things.
These are a few of my favorite things

       When the trogla dites,
when static clings,
when I'm fearing fad,
I simply halfbake my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so gad...

[+] we do have a lot of favorite things!
you can find mine in the linky...

Thanks, [xan]! As I said under the first link, I knew going in that it wouldn't be an original idea, but why let that stop me? Rather than track down every single one, because as you all know I am very lazy, I linked to the first prior art I could find and hoped others would follow with thiers and not be too insulted. Re-lyricization of this song fits the HB so well, and now we can have them all in one spot for future lazy 'bakers to enjoy.

Thanks to all for the buns; I had a feeling this would be a smile-cracker.

Art installations with fragments of knowledge,
Brainstorms in teacups and sentient porage,
Space-time anomalies used to make bling,
These are a few of *my* favourite things.
pertinax, Mar 21 2012

       // porage //

       Sp: Portage. Partridge? Paul Rudd?

       Poor Richard!
Alterother, Mar 21 2012

Personal lightning-rods (illo of [hob]'s), and
vacuum dirigible service tech jobs and
engines made quieter with tuned trombones;
leeches provided retirement homes!
Rentisham's old-fashioned flenting-wax ads
giant inflatable egos for cads.

Solutions to problems that do not exist.
Has anyone noticed? They're almost a list.
mouseposture, Mar 21 2012

//porage// (n) The condition or act of poring. Like dote -> dotage. Mutual pimple and blackhead squeezing.
spidermother, Mar 22 2012

Oh, you mean porridge! Sorry, I was deliberately confused.
Alterother, Mar 22 2012

It's highly unlikely that [Pertinax] would write //porage// if he meant porridge, or anything else other than porage.
