Hear the original sound of scratched vinyl

Un-Scratching (reverse scratching)is a technique whereby you counter the effects of a pre-recorded scratch to hear the original record at something approaching the right speed.

First take any record which contains scratching. Then when it comes to the scratch, experiment by slowing the record down, winding it back slowly and scratching in the opposite direction to the scratch on the record.

Carry on experimenting until you can make out the original recording. Then practice till you can do it in a live situation.

Then you can amaze vinyl trainspotters by uncovering hidden vinyl samples in their favourite tracks. I see this as similar to uncovering an original Van Gogh underneath an oil painting you found in your grandmother's attic.

I don't know if this technique is possible or why anyone would want to do it but it seems half baked to me

..And here I was thinking this would be an idea about removing nations from the UN for unsportsmanlike behavior.

       -bun for the thought.

[Custardguts] You can't kick us out of the UN! We are the 21 year old with the job and car who drives you everywhere and buys beer when we remember. Of course we also bully the smaller kids into doing what we want and mack on the underage girls, and sometimes don't show up or remember to bring gas money.

I didn't know 'mack' was a verb. Certainly 'pimp'; he pimps, she pimps, they pimp etc., but never knew 'mack'.

       From http://www.urbandictionary.com

Mack- (verb) To hit on, flirt with, or seduce a female by using verbal or sometimes physical means of persuasion.

Of course I turn 42 next week, so what do I know?
