From time to time you answer questions it gives you to create a version of you that can be called up years after you're gone.

"Hey Grandpa, what do you think of this new Mars base."

"Hey Grandson, that was before my time but I'd be very excited about it. I looked it up and see that it's already got some colonists. I'm glad I worked for Nasa back in the day and helped create one stepping stone towards that goal."

"What did you do?"

"I was on the team that programmed the computer on board the command module of the Saturn 5 Moon missions. That computer had a processor speed of 1.024 MHz and 64 KB of RAM compared to for instance, your iPhone which has a processor speed of 3.2 GHz and 6 GB of RAM. You guys are really impressive! How's your robot coming along?"

Basically a mega journal with virtual person speaking in the actual voice, recorded facial gestures, same sense of humor etc.

If there's something out ther already let me know.

Deepgram (terrible name for a company, but whatever) is already going in that direction with their HereAfter AI. The company's primary focus is conversational AI, and the HereAfter effort looks like a good start towards what you're talking about - a journal recording tool that to let you build something your descendants could eventually converse with.

You got me, I was just looking for this. Thank you sir. (don't tell anybody sometimes I use the HB to ask questions)

Wait... it's just stupid cartoons? I want me AI generated talking and answering questions.

// I want me AI generated talking and answering questions. //

It'll get there. HereAfter is just the input side that you asked for. And I doubt it's the only one, I'm sure other companies are working on this. The rough idea has been percolating in fiction for a very long time.

If you want the grand kids to interact with a holodeck simulation of you, you or they may have to stay alive a bit longer (link)

Staying alive a bit longer is number one on my to-do list.
