Voice Tube

This device is useful not to you, but to everyone else. This is a tube that connects to the part of your cell phone that picks up sound (shut up, i know it's a receiver) and leads to your mouth, soundproofing your conversation from other people (safety AND un-annoyance!). It could also be customized to fit your mouth exactly, different colors, etc.
Note: I am NOT suggesting this for payphones, that would be disgusting!

Maybe it's because I just watched that anime 'Spirited Away', but for whatever reason I pictured this being implemented as an inflatable head balloon.

bbrringg..bbrrin gg. .. your cell phone goes off... you push the button on the stem of your glasses, and a giant head air bag inflates around your head.
On the outside, a large-size caricature of your face (or one of the Osbournes, your choice)... on the inside, you carry on your conversation in private.
You would have eye and ear holes so you can still pay attention to the outside world, but they can't hear you unless you activate an external speaker.

Something like that. Sorry, but I just couldn't visualize a tube at someone's mouth that would look fashionable, and/or would be easy to carry in your purse/pocket, and/or wouldn't look skeevy.

well, we can make it fashionable. It wouldn't be skeevy (good word btw) because it would be a funky semi-flexible tube that went from the reciever to your mouth, with maybe a funky-shaped attachment (lips?) and could be patterned...or even metallic! you idea is kinda cool too, though.

I haven't seen spirited away yet, is it as good as they say?
