Seems so obvious that it's bound to have been done already - but couldn't find. Had drawing lying in note book for nearly a year, then saw those fake log memory sticks, so thought I might put up my own effort. See scribble below.

Wonderful picture. [+] for the idea.

What about slip-on coves for memory sticks? You could have amputated fingers, bits of trees... I'm sure that [benfrost] could come up with a Bobbity good one...
Jinbish, Oct 22 2006

I could get one for my missing finger for when the fingertip lighter goes out of style.
NotTheSharpestSpoon, Oct 23 2006

That drawing doesn't look at all like any of my fingers...
BJS, Oct 24 2006

[BJS]- new name for idea - "Finger Flash that is guaranteed not to look like BJS's finger"

Send me a photograph of one of your digits, and I'll make a new drawing, just for you, that DOES look like your particular finger.

I also do Heads as Wheel Chocks, if you fancy seeing what you look like wedged against the wheel of a truck on a hill.
xenzag, Oct 24 2006

[xenzag] I might take you up on that offer (as long as you promise not to make fun of me or something).

I was imagining that the USB plug would be on the other end of the finger, so it looks like the finger is sticking out of the computer, but thats just me...
BJS, Oct 24 2006

Really BJS as if I would make fun of your finger ! - pop it in the post tonight, and I'll get to work on the conversion as soon as it arrives.

As for the finger facing the other way - I have a drawing of that option, plus few dozen others, but the nail seemed to be such a natural subsitute for the connector, and you also get the gory bone and flesh this way. (did I mention that it twitches and flexes when it's ready to eject?)
xenzag, Oct 24 2006

now you can see how dull it is facing this way, instead of chopped off, and it saves me from putting up one of my other drawings, which depicted a much hairier finger complete with naff ring.
xenzag, Oct 25 2006

The one on that link looks like it's a thumb, not a finger.
BJS, Oct 25 2006

Perhaps it got mixed up with the thumb drive photo.

There is an other piece of human body that just YEARNS to become a flash stick.
