Why cant news websites follow each topic separately?

I want a news website that looks like reddit for each topic.

Not just a mismash of topics in magazine format but a dedicated area for each active topic we can follow the news on. It should be reverse chronological so latest first.

so covid news is separate to business news about a particular company.

What about the covid-business news? That's the biggest thing affecting almost every business at the moment, you can't discuss them in isolation in any meaningful way! "In business news, retailers are struggling with record staff absences and a huge downturn in footfall... for some reason..."

"In Covid news, it's still a virus, doing things, we presume..."

And, you know, there is already a website that looks like Reddit with news on it.

News websites don't cover each topic in a straight line.

It's not in a chronological order. It's in order to get the most attention.

       Reddit news is a cesspit.

Reddit is a cesspit of groupthink and censorship.

Careful now [Voice], if you come out with things like that the Ministry of Truth will have the Thought Police drop in and take you for an appointment you didn't know you had with that nice Mr. O'Brien...

Don't follow the news. Lead the news. Come to whichever fringe internet sites haven't been banned yet, to read tomorrow's news today.
sninctown, Jan 27 2021

You can simply mute the news, so that you don't hear the voices.

Oh, I'm afraid he always hears the Voices.

The heart of the wise is in a house of mourning, whereas the heart of the fools is in a house of joy.

But, my GameStop shares went up, so I've got that going for me, which is nice.

Yes, but see Erasmus "In Praise of Folly".

       //my GameStop shares went up//

Seeing some of those market manipulating bastards take it in the shorts is the most joy I'll have this year. Five biiiiiiilion dollars and counting. Better yet these hedge funds are connected to some of the real elites. Power to the people! If I had the dosh I would buy and hold until every last short is called just to make them squirm a little harder.

Too bad about the middle manager who decided to overexpose 250% on the shorts. I don't wish him the treatment he will receive.

You may also have hurt some innocent bystanders, as the fundies sold other stocks to cover their losses - but I admit it's in a good cause
