I've heard that on high altitude treks , experienced climbers bring sticks of butter and chomp on it as they climb to keep their daily calorie intake up . Eating raw butter , while fun , cannot be very appetising , my solution . Fudge infused with energy creating chemicals , basically fudge with red
bull in the mix . Fudge is basically butter and fat so it would give you your needed calories , it would taste alot better then butter and it would give an extra jump to your step and jitter to your speech . Could also be eaten by gamers who need an extra kick to beat level 25 until they fall in to a sugar induced coma .

Sticks of butter? Blurgh! Try Kendall Mint Cake. Much tastier and just full of sugar. |

Hike with a sugar cane that supports your weight and blood sugar level. |

Judging by Touching The Void, munching raw butter seems to be the very least of the indignities mountain climbers get to experience. But anyway, I thought chocolate had long been used for this purpose? |

There was once a ironic UK climbers web site that "promoted" lard as the ultimate power food, complete with spoof merchandising, such as T-shirts. It was a reaction to climbers endlessly debating the proper, but often daft, food to take on a climb with them. |

Wow, [hippo] has managed to track down the very same people I was talking about. I'm impressed. |

[Aristotle] Lard t-shirts still seem to be
available (links). |
