There must be a thousand stories in the city on the verge of disappearing into the ground and atmosphere. Why not use a chatbot to interview our wise.
The chatbot would take the form most comfortable to interviewee, cursive letter, telephone call, fax or for those that can handle the future, an avatar.
text script of the conversation would be the goal but voice files, bitmaps of writing styles or webcam shots of facial expressions can also be databased.
So when your son's son's son is researching an ancestor, they can hear what another ancestor said about them.

Description (displayed with the short name and URL.)
||As with gold, you usually have to move a lot before you find something.
||I also thought, if text was databased then added facts could be gleaned from the repetitious.
||Hours of pretending to half listen labour.
||The bot could completely automate this. Interviews
would be simulated and the stories made from
whole cloth and presented as found wisdom. One
might want a human editor to weed our the truly
bizarre, although those might actually help in small
amounts - sort of like the stink in stinky cheese.
||[bungston] Maybe it's baked. Isn't there an old book as you describe?
