Stereoscopic cameras + occulus + web meetings = virtually being there with the ability to put someone on mute and meet in the executive conference room on the Death Star. Maybe you could put them on mute with a gesture, like a force neck pinch...

It's going to look a bit weird of everyone in the meeting is wearing VR headsets. You will need some sort of 3D avatar to show the "real" participants.

Better to use a 3D screen and have them wear "shutter" glasses which look fairly normal.

Not a bad idea, though. Bear in mind that true 3D demands staggering amounts of bandwidth.

If everyone were in fixed locations, and you pre- recorded generic puppet positions for all body movements from every available viewing angle, you could easily map those movements and project a person's scanned body image onto the puppet. Intense preprogramming and preparation, but low- bandwidth demand.

Spatial is kind of going there

I've seen that compilation. Politicians used to kiss babies, don't you know? Big deal.

Maybe there is a purpose for the AI construct. That being, to understand the logic and emotions of and find a re-education schemes for some* members of the human race.

*probably all. Want to change something, just ask one of the new binary-quantum oracles.
