This is a flail that, instead of having three different parts, the
stock,
chain and ball, graduates in stiffness from
the
stock to the bulb, by a coefficient that just does not allow the
bulb to
hit any other part of the weapon. So, no matter how hard you
swing
this weaoon around the
bulb never bumps into another part of the
weapon. Depending on how bouncey it was it
would have gyroscopic energy storing behavoir.

How about one with a Kinect (or open-source alternative) that fits on the spiky bit going around and weaves about to avoid hitting the wielder, but can still strike the wieldee. |

//like 'sword' or 'knife', or even 'gun'. |

short sword, Bowie knife, machine gun...but then we get rapier, dagger and pistol, so we get straight noun and compound noun* versions. |

From my computer's memory, the original title was "Adaptive_20Mace" but what does it know... |

*Why is compound noun a compound noun? |
|
|
//Why is compound noun a compound noun//
Because it is two separate words, rather than a pair
of words compounded together (as in "flintlock",
"fuckup" or "tombollockry"). |
