The word "How?" springs to mind at this point.

Flying fish and other such things...

Frozen food of various kinds... made into the shapes of the pieces of a model airplane.

While the food is still frozen, snap the parts together to create a biplane casserole or maybe just "flying fish".

The recipes would be designed to be a complete dinner after the "model" had been assembled, and (of course) half-baked.

Pasta could be used to supply some of the more rigid parts of the model and help in the assembly as parts started to thaw.

This was vaguely inspired by making things (like space people) for my little niece out of chicken nuggets and toothpicks.
