Some folks become enraged at the sight of a person driving while talking on a cell phone. Arguably, it is dangerous. Nobody becomes enraged at the sight of the driver talking to her passenger, since this has been going on for 100 years. By installing a cell phone in an animatronic dummy, drivers can
hold their conversations in the old-fashioned, non-distracting way: with a virtual passenger. Other drivers would be mollified at the sight of Thomas Jefferson riding shotgun in a minivan, calmly chatting with the driver.
