Bake-tionary
real-time self-raising edition adds terms used in the Halfbakery | |
This is an active 'e-book'-type addition to the HB, similar to a dictionary/thesaurus. Bake-tionary contains terms used in the Halfbakery; it autobotically updates itself in real time, as the terms are used.
(A quick search of 'dictionary' shows a bazillion entries, but not one like this. (I'm almost
certain. Maybe.))
The Bake-tionary program searches every word of each new entry, cross-referencing to all dictionaries, thesauri and Google-rami across the known multiverses currently connected to the interweb.
When it finds a low-use or exclusive-use term, such as 'WKTE', it sends a customized note to the idea's creator, asking if it has the correct definition, then it adds the entry to itself. For example, Bake-tionary Bot says: "Sgt Teacup, I suspect you are using WKTE to mean 'widely known to exist'. If this is true, do nothing, and your entry will be noted and credited in the Bake-tionary, you hero, you. If this is incorrect, please write me a sternly-worded letter. I do appreciate it when you correct my grammar and spelling. Thank you."
It will not have an annoying 'Microsoft paperclip' tone. It will make its query to the style of the idea creator; sarcasm for the sarcastic, gentle tones for the soft and fuzzy users.
It will park itself as the top entry when searching '--tionary' in the Halfbakery Search bar. New Bakers can quickly search for style and spelling tips so as not to appear foolish for preventable reasons.
