After a day on the beach in the hot sand, my feet feel smooth and relaxed. I want to duplicate that in a home sand box, with a heating element. Would be a closable box, so Felix the cat can't make free...

Use of this product inconsistant with the directions invalidates warranty.

Ah yes - the Niger Delta. Far more oil gets into the sea there every year than has been released in the Gulf of Mexico this year. They have less effective PR though...

Not all British beaches are yucky - there are a plenty of places that take a real pride in having a pleasant, clean and healthy coastline - Yes there are problems in some places, but to characterise everywhere as being like that is to make a pretty sweeping generalisation.

The British Beach-in-a-Box will need to be covered in wood slick timber.

who said that? I've read this twice, and I can't find anything about vac. cleaners, nor Hoovers for that matter.
dentworth, Jun 10 2010

I think it's in response to my sweeping generalisation comment - how would people in the UK clean their floors if they didn't use a vacuum cleaner? (assuming - or generalising that is - that they all have hard floors, and not carpets)
