Now that we've gotten all that finding the Higgs Boson malarkey out of the way, the search for the more evasive Biggs Hoson particle can begin.

The Higgs Boson explains mass in particles, the Biggs Hoson is more subtle and is generally expected to be the reason why the mass of the object you are carrying increases the longer you have to carry it.

Also suspected in having a hand in influencing small children to put objects up their noses and Busby Berkeley dance routines.

No data on whether he's wearing hose, and wasn't evasive enough to avoid getting detected at Yavin. [RayfordSteele, Jul 10 2012]

A common mistake, but the mass does not vary; in fact, the local value of the gravitational constant, G, increases over time, thus meaning that not only does the item you are carrying weigh more, but you feel progressively heavier and more tired.

       Oh, a graviton, then?

Oddly enough, I think I may have discovered some primordial links.

1801 the ship Lady Savannah hit a reef off Savannah la Mar and sank. The captain was Captain Higgs, and presumably there was a bosun.

More worryingly 1802 at Rio Bueno, the ship Jupiter caught fire, total loss. The head honcho was a Captain Plank. Quite what would happen when the order was given 'to walk the plank' would be a constant source of hilarity.

So, Higgs Bosun and the Plank constant..all written the stars...ok Google books. Link
