Supposedly cows will gather around and listen to music played
in their pasture through loudspeakers. They evidently prefer
country. They also rush to hear accordion music.
There's an ostrich that dances to flute music. I've included a
vid link but simply Youtube "animals listening to music"
and
you'll see dozens of posts.
So it would be fun to compile a greatest hits chart of various
animals. Gauge the reaction to various songs. Do ferrets like
Slim Whitman but run away from the Sex Pistols? (Like most of
us would.) There are various ways you could test this. Put 4
speakers around the pasture for instance and see where the
sheep go to listen to the 4 different songs playing. Rotate the
songs to account for other factors in the field. Do they follow a
particular style?
Do animals have shit taste in music simply reacting to any
sound or is there some level of critical listening going on here?
Do different animals have different tastes? This would be
interesting to look into.

My running quarter horse Poke ( Poco Rey Del King ) liked Annie Lennox " Who's That Girl ". |

On the gripping hand, my cats Mocha and Julius would only watch the Animal Channel and human porn. |

I think the most rational hypothesis is that shit music is
produced by lower life forms. |
