Similar to the "cornputer" idea, the BTE would be a special laser toaster with read/write capabilities, linked to your computer via FireWire or USB port. You would buy a loaf of special square white crustless "writable bread". obvously a write-once medium, if you were in a pinch and had sensitive/personal/incriminating data, you could simply eat the toast with no risk of information recovery. The white bread would be very bland, with a long shelf life and very fine grain, best drenched in butter or jam. The best part is, it would bring reality to the idea of affordible edible media.
