A challenge coin is a rather large and heavy object which must be carried with you at all times, but absolutely cannot get lost. It is too large to fit in a wallet and prone to rolling out of pockets. A buttoned pocket works better but what if you change clothes and forget to move the coin? Congratulations, you are buying a round of drinks for everybody in your unit while cursing your decision to change pants.

I would like to see a cell phone with a compartment built into the back of the case meant for holding a coin. Why a cell phone? It's something you always carry with you, and it's a lot less prone to getting lost than a single loose coin. It could also be a nice decorative touch if the coin was under clear plastic on the back of the phone.

I think there are enough people in the military needing a solution like this for it to be a viable, albeit niche product market.

Or use it to house a coin so you can use a public telephone when your battery goes.

Maybe it could be worn as a codpiece, and men interested in this could check for presence of said coin with a boot.

21, you have enough coins to make a necklace. Maybe more of a pectoral with only 4 (I envision a diamond shape), but leave room to add more coins as events warrant.

Why not leave them in a box at home, and scowl disapprovingly at anyone who makes a fuss?
pocmloc, Oct 23 2010

Is there any other way to scowl?
daseva, Oct 23 2010

       I can scowl ridiculously.
