Children of the nitinol

...what music they make.

Well, later they might make music.
For now though I'm picturing a battery operated modular building kit much like Capsella but with nitinol strips of varying lengths and composition, and switches activated by each strips deformation instead of moving parts. Several remote control bimetallic servos complete the package.

All sorts of spider-like and insectoid creations could be brought to realistic life in this fashion, slithering, milipedantic, and now, with the new heat seal Mylar sheet with refillable helium canister expansion pack, even ornithopterrific avian and aquatic life forms could be cruising gracefully around the house.

Bun just for the word 'milipedantic.' Is that an overparticular carpenter or a many-footed bug working out a precision dance step?
