Annotation:

Does it come with "Over-the-limit Ken"?
wagster, Aug 23 2004

"Can I be the model?" - that has to be the weirdest annotation I've seen here all year (not that I've been paying that much attention).
DrCurry, Aug 23 2004

no! <wipes forehead> sorry but you are a figment of my imagination! </wipes forehead>
po, Aug 23 2004

[po] it isn't nice to try to take other peoples' prizes by saying they are figments of your imagination. Or are you trying to compete?
Worldgineer, Aug 23 2004

bwv61: I could break your arm if you like.
DrCurry, Aug 23 2004

You're going to beat someone up that has to carry around an oxygen tank? Cold, man.
Worldgineer, Aug 23 2004

       //Can I be the model?//

Then I assume you want Bubu to be the model for your "I'm Not as Think as You Drunk I am" Ken.

Before I read the author of that anno, something told me it was you, Bev.
Pericles, Aug 23 2004

I think the _____ Barbie meme is somewhat over-extended.
waugsqueke, Aug 23 2004

Oh, this Barbie doll is 18 years too late. I quit playing with them when I was 8. Looks like I'll have to get back in the habit again.

After you're done using [bwv] as your model, can I keep her?
Machiavelli, Aug 23 2004

Worldgineer: goes back to her bizarre comment above: why would anyone want to model an invalid? I was only offering to help.
DrCurry, Aug 23 2004

Well, duh. Feel better, anyway. I'd offer to bring flowers, but I don't like hospitals.

(And *that* really is the weirdest annotation I have ever read here.)
DrCurry, Aug 23 2004

// wipes forehead> sorry but you are a figment of my imagination! </wipes forehead> //

Is it just me or is this place getting more surreal by the day?
Lacus Trasumenus, Aug 23 2004

(psst... has anyone else noticed [LT] getting more surreal by the day?)
Worldgineer, Aug 23 2004

I met someone with one of them once.
Lacus Trasumenus, Aug 24 2004

       Uh huh.

       (?)
Lacus Trasumenus, Aug 24 2004

How big it was, I guess... I wasn't really listening.
Lacus Trasumenus, Aug 24 2004

       Ah, get over it [jsp].
Lacus Trasumenus, Aug 24 2004

no-one should suffer from hiatus anymore.
po, Aug 24 2004

especially with all the advances in modern medicine
jurist, Aug 24 2004

I had a really bad case of hiatus a while back.
zigness, Aug 24 2004

Maybe this Barbie could come with a hiatus add-on pack. You remember? This idea?
harderthanjesus, Aug 24 2004

isn't this a bit like the Prindess Di barbie they brought out?
etherman, Aug 24 2004

Ahh, U.B. I've missed the spade is a spade mentality around here. Although you might add "self-obsessed" as well (try reading some people's bakery homepages...)
[bwv] It's nothing personal (I accept your apology for completely misreading my annotation to Better baby Shoes), but I have absolutely no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who poisoned themselves whilst trying to smoke the largest number of cigarettes simultaneoulsy. You might as well ask for sympathy for crashing after trying to drive your car home having had as many vodkas as possible. Which brings us nicely back to the subject. Suggest they throw in artificial respirator as well though.
goff, Aug 24 2004

       Violently reasonable.
harderthanjesus, Aug 24 2004

Sometimes I'd like to believe I have a compulsion to reason, but having thought about it, I don’t believe I do.
Ichthus, Aug 24 2004

//Wierd, but God works that way, sometimes. Sometimes there is indeed a reason for our compulsions, I'd like to believe//

I agree Bev dear. Now, eat some "magic" mushrooms and you won't only believe it, but LIVE it.
Pericles, Aug 25 2004

//I never thought a person's conscious involvement in creating one's pain was a reason not to have sympathy.//

Okay, so nix that whole legal system idea...

Now, where did i put that bloody nailgun?...
daseva, Aug 25 2004

And now for the $64,000 question. Where was [jsp] on that fateful day in fourth grade when all the other children were learning not to use double negatives?
daseva, Aug 25 2004

[jsp] I have sympathy for anyone who has fate deal them an ugly hand. I have every sympathy for bwv in her fight against cancer, and I would never wish anyone in those circumstances anything but hope and best wishes (btw - bwv, hope and best wishes). But sympathy for posioning yourself by smoking a mouthful of cigarettes simultaneuously? No, if you do something that daft, then you won't get any sympathy from me I'm afraid.
goff, Aug 26 2004

bwv, I hesitate to speak for the man but perhaps he is musing on the possibility of it getting stuck up there and its having to be removed surgically.
po, Aug 26 2004

//Where was [jsp] on that fateful day in fourth grade when all the other children were learning not to use double negatives?//

       I ain't got no idea.
thumbwax, Aug 26 2004

Maybe she could have a couple outfits, like the 'several years after' where she has a bottle of gin in one hand and is still wearing her pajamas at 3pm. [bun for makin' me laugh]
photojunkie, Aug 26 2004

[etherman] that was a bit rough.

Anyroad [+] for the hilarity Zig and waiting for Christmas.
skinflaps, Aug 26 2004

       Too soon [skinflaps]?
harderthanjesus, Aug 26 2004

bwv: that would be "self-deprecating," though I must say your look-at-me annotations don't exactly strike me as self-deprecating. You have more in common with your sister than you think. (Self-depreciating would only be possible if you were a mortgage or something.)
DrCurry, Aug 26 2004

Self-deprecation is one of the cornerstones of all great humor... that, and farts.

Heaven forbide, bev, that we are left out on the similarities between you and your sister. Pray tell! Oh, how I love to insight the self-proclaimed self-deprecators!
daseva, Aug 27 2004

       <linky>
skinflaps, Aug 27 2004

Spinster: I'm guessing the cute, little and ditzy parts. Though maybe bwv's dating a tycoon now, in which case, congratulations are due.
DrCurry, Aug 28 2004

Thanks for the link [skinflaps], that will answer all the echoes of this great idea that have already started to appear.
wagster, Aug 28 2004

My guess is he's working working on a sexual harrassment suit. That was a law firm you said you were working at, right?
