Gloreos

What the winners reward themselves with after they have won

No one really wants to eat what the athletes are eating to help them win the game. They only want to take part in the glory so eat the cookies they reward themselves with and reward yourself for similar triumphs.

With Gloreos, you will never find a vitamin or a whole grain, just the sweet taste of victory.

Moreos http://www.halfbake...dea/Giant_20Oreo_99
The cookie perhaps more suitable for celebration. [Worldgineer, Oct 05 2004, last modified Oct 17 2004]

       This is bizzarre.

Do marketing campaigns count as ideas?
DrCurry, Jun 11 2004

This is perilously close to being no idea.
MikeOliver, Jun 11 2004

It's an idea for the use of "OREOS" as a reward, other than a snack.... although, when I read the title, I thought these were going to be glowing oreo cookies.
Pericles, Jun 11 2004

Personally, I think an Oreo is a great reward for finishing a given task...particularly if the given task is eating an Oreo.

Let me guess, title searching for an idea?
Worldgineer, Jun 11 2004

Actually, I found the idea first and then was searching for a good name. That's what happens when you come up with too good a name.
sartep, Jun 11 2004

Ok, I'll buy it. And I'd buy it.
Worldgineer, Jun 11 2004

P.S. I am assuming these things look like they're made out of gold.
DrCurry, Jun 11 2004

I noticed that the new "UH-OH" Oreos are also called "Golden".

So, its just a cookie, but with this whole victory subtext? What's changed? I agree with the doctor, they better at least LOOK gold...

       Sporeos, anyone?

I recall a fake commerical on SNL in which John Belushi played a Decathlete. Interspersed with with "footage" of him "competing," was an "interview" which clearly showed a white, powdery substance under his nose while he explained the secrets to his success. The camera pulled back to reveal he was munching on powdered mini-donuts.

The idea is giving an Oreo to someone as a prize?
Like putting them on ribbons, and handing them out at the Olympics.
MikeOliver, Jun 12 2004

I suppose it's possible that Oreos are made with Gold Medal flour.

gloreos?! are about the glory... personally i was hoping for a more sex based cookie, maybe something that gives you a rush like... well you get my point. but i'd buy this product anyway.
Urban Kayaker, Jun 12 2004

At first I thought it was Goreos. I'm glad it's not.
