Are bullets sufficiently magnetic to be attracted or
redirected by even very strong electromagnets? I have no
experience handling lead but I doubt it. |

Lead (or any other non-magnetic metal, such as copper) will
be slowed as it passes through a magnetic field, due to eddy
currents. But this slowing will be very slight, I think. |

A bullet might be deflected if it passed through a non-uniform
field, but then again it will be deflected far more if it passes
through a non-uniform wall. |

Actually, someone should do the experiment. Set up a long
tube with toroidal r.e. magnets all along its length (spaced
out), then fire a bullet down it and see how much the velocity
is reduced. |

Yea, I caught that. Wonder how big the power supply backpack would have to be to have a glove with a super-magnet that could do this. Be like Darth Vader or one of those spandex wearing super heroes with super magneto powers. |
