Simple idea, I use browser bookmarks myself, but then I lose them when I change computers from home to work and so on...

Something like Wikipedia's "add this to my watchlist" option that notifies you when new annotations have been made.

       Try editing a view [Mr_John], with a little experimentation, you might be able to build your own version of this - I'm thinking of filtering with the "Show records edited since: I last took part in the discussion." option.
