Higher on the sides

Inflate pillows and align spines with them

When I'm laying on my back on the bed I like my pillow to be low. When I turn on my side my neck is further from the bed. If my pillow is no higher naturally my head bends toward the bed. This is sufficiently uncomfortable that I must wake a little to grab my second pillow. Then I sleep well until I roll onto my back and, alas, now my chin is on my chest and I must dispense with the extra pillow. This state of affairs won't do in the modern world.

This device would consist of 1: a simple sensor with a raspberry pi. I could screw it into the wall above my bed. It would use line tracing to decide whether there were a human in the bed in front of it.

and 2: A self-inflatable pillow, which would change air pressure to raise or lower itself as required.

Try sleeping with your shoulders up on the pillow as well as your head. A physio suggested that to me once, and it seemed to help.

I read that Sudden Infant Death syndrome (SIDS) is reduced when infants sleep on their back. It is possible that a mattress version of your inflatable thingie could gently turns infants right side up as they sleep.

I suppose you are aware there are pillows profiled so as to give you options for on your back or side, and this is simply a funner way to achieve that.

I have a longer-than-average pillow, so when I want it thicker I simply fold it in half.

Could you not just have a tapered pillow?

That would nicely match [Voice]'s pointed head, shirley ?

What is this sleep thing that you refer to?

What's a pillow?. It's just another replacement of fitness.

If you flip a pillow over all of the bad dreams leak out.
It must be true, they told me so when I was a kid...

[2 fries] That's pretty good going to remember the emotional state of the dream and the side the pillow's on .
