I'm with Stupid Shirt

Splicing timely t-shirt humour with today's technology

I was musing the other day over t-shirt humour, after noticing an "I'm with stupid" t-shirt. The wearer was walking along with a friend but the arrow of the shirt was pointing the opposite side, thus negating the humour and making the wearer look stupid instead. I have also seen techno-t-shirts that can display a message programmed into a small chip hidden somewhere upon the wearer.

I would like to meld these two ideas, and add a short-range tracking device. Basically the tracking device would be concealed about the wearer’s friend; loved-one or foe. The display would be an arrow that points in the direction of the tracking device, so the message on the t-shirt is kept accurate.

Those folk should just admit they've missed a bargain and ink a big letter "X" over the "with" on their (one) shirt.   Duh!

does it have a hidden button?

//so stupid is in the crotch area?//
It depends where you hide the transmitter.

[po] It's not called the dumb stick for nothing.

If you needed a /tracking device/ then you wouldn't be WITH stupid. Stupid would be trying to get away from you for calling him/her stupid and wanting the whole world to know it and see him/her.(or is the shirt stupid?)

//[po] It's not called the dumb stick for nothing// not a gear stick then?

Just place an arrow on the shirt with a rivet. Pivot by hand if they move. Much easier to bake.

//the arrow of the shirt was pointing the opposite side, thus negating the humour // Negating the humour? I don't think so.

They should come with a arrow that spins by hand, then you could take pot-luck as to whom is the idiot.

       mave?

I have an "I'm with stupid" t-shirt. Got it in Topman.
shinobi, Jan 05 2006

How about a low-tech solution: Simply print (you know with dyes and inks) on the t-shirt's fabric

       I'M WITH STUPID
<-- OR -->
cranford, Jan 05 2006

       Or just remove the arrow.
Worldgineer, Jan 05 2006

//Welcome back [ss], you were missed. Hope all was/is well// Thanks [bliss], all has been well. I have just been very busy. Hope you're good too.

neelandan, Jan 06 2006
